Changes to stats reporting since 6th September 2017

Added: 8th Sep 2017    Category: New Features

Since we launched our events guide, we’ve counted the exposure your event gets when it appears in our search results on Skiddle.com, as well as direct hits to your event page. Earlier in the year, after reviewing feedback, we realised this confused some of you, who wanted a clearer way of seeing how many hits your actual event page received.

We took the decision to stop including views of your event in our search results to make this clearer.

This week, following further feedback from promoters and a review of this, we’re going to reverse this decision as the overwhelming feedback is that you love seeing the full reach that your event gets.

Today (6th Sept 2017) we’re re-enabling tracking on our events guide search results, meaning your stats will increase to show this change.

We’re also introducing new granularity into the statistics. You’ll now be able to see a breakdown of how your hits are made up, between:

  • Views of your event page
  • Views of your event snippet on our web events guide or white label websites
  • Views of your event snippet on our mobile app
  • Views via partners using our events API

We’re also showing you a split for your event page views, showing how many arrived on your event page directly (either via URL, or linked in from an external site such as social media), and how many arrive via Skiddle’s events guide.
