Apple wallet is a convenient place to store event tickets, boarding passes, vouchers and now payment cards. Skiddle fully support Apple Wallet, so customers no longer need to print tickets. Everything they need is on their phone.
What are the advantages to the event promoter?
- By helping customers carry their tickets around in a convenient way, there's less likely to be issues on the door with customers forgetting their tickets.
- Tickets printed poorly due to low ink or printer faults will no longer be an issue.
- It also encourages last-minute purchases for those who may not have been able to print their tickets before arriving at the venue.
- Tickets are displayed in a format optimised for the phone, which makes it much easier to scan than trying to display a PDF on screen.
- Less paper waste on the door.
What are the advantages to a customer?
- iPhone customers no longer need to print tickets on paper as each ticket can be held on their phone.
- Our integration will also alert the customer when they arrive near your event venue at the correct time, with their ticket flashing up on their lock screen. This makes their entry much quicker with less time spent looking for tickets.
- Last minute purchases are not a problem, as the ticket can be downloaded to the phone within seconds.
- Integration with Apple Watch so the customer doesn't even need to remove their phone from their pocket - just flash their watch.
What steps do I need to take?
Please ensure you are selecting "RapidScan" as the delivery method for your tickets, as the old "eTickets" do not have barcodes issued. You need the RapidScan app for your phone to quickly validate customer's tickets as they enter your event.
How do I validate an Apple Wallet ticket
As a promoter, you just need to scan Apple Wallet tickets the same as you would a normal RapidScan printed ticket. Each has a clear barcode which can be scanned using our RapidScan app. The Wallet application automatically turns up the phone's screen brightness, making scanning easy in any lighting condition.
