Using the Mixmag Promotion Centre

Added: 16th May 2014    Category: Mixmag Promotion Centre

Mixmag have teamed up with Skiddle to offer a brand new way of submitting your magazine listings. This will deliver a simpler, more flexible service saving you heaps of time.

Benefits include:

  • Submit and edit your events 24/7 online
  • Add events once, to appear within the Mixmag print magazine, the mixmag website and all websites within the Skiddle.com network
  • Sell advance tickets for your event, utilising Skiddle's tried and trusted ticket sales platform
  • Lineup change? No problem just login and update

Also, if you've already submitted your listings through Skiddle.com, all you need to do is check the details and you're good to go - no extra forms to fill in!

Here's how to get started:

Login/Register

If you have previously used Skiddle.com to list your events, then it is as simple as using your existing login details.  The login form is here.

If you are brand new to the Skiddle promotion platform, you will first need to register.  We only require a few details to register for an account and for you to verify your email (A link is sent to your email that you need to click on).

Adding your first event

Once you have logged into the Promotion Centre, you will be able to add your listings. Click the 'Add Event' button to start - the form will guide you through each step. Full instructions of what is required when adding your event details can be found here.

Please add as much detail as you can - the more info you add, the better exposure we can give you. Also please ensure you add an event image so we can display your event in as many locations as possible. If you have details which aren't yet confirmed, you can leave them blank for now and return and fill them in later.

Need to add a new venue?

Our database of venues is already very comprehensive, with over 36,000 venues in our database. Please search for your venue first, but if you are sure it's not already in our system you can add a new venue. Once added, you won't need to add the venue details again.

Speeding things up

If you have multiple events which are similar, you can either use the 'Multi event submission form' which lets you list multiple events with different lineup and dates in one go. Alternatively you can copy and relist an existing event, using the previous details as a template.

Embargoed Details?

If you don't want your event details to be public yet, you can add your event and select 'Draft mode' when saving. This ensures the event will not appear online, and the only people with access to your event are the Mixmag listings team, and Skiddle.com staff. When you are ready for your event details to be public, don't forget to change your event to 'Live'.

Adding tickets to your events

By offering advance tickets on sale through Mixmag/Skiddle, you can reduce your reliance on walk-up sales. Events with tickets on sale also receive additional exposure throughout the network. There is no cost to sell tickets and everything can be managed online 24/7. Whether you want to use posted tickets, eTickets or our RapidScan barcoded entry system, we have it covered.  Again, the add tickets form which guide you through what is required to add tickets, but a full explanation can be found here.  Once you have added your tickets, you can still fully control the allocations, when tickets go off sale or manually take them offsale - all through the Mixmag Promotion Centre.

You can also use our ticket system to offer discounted or special offers tickets with our password protected tickets - information about how to set this up can be found here.

Getting Paid for ticket sales

Payments for tickets are remitted automatically on the Thursday following your event. Skiddle's remittance system will generate a remittance statement, outlining all tickets sold and calculating a total payment due to you - this will be emailed to you. Payment is made via BACS direct into your account. There is no charge for using our ticket sales service, we simply add a booking fee to the customer, which covers our costs.

Before payments can be made for your tickets sales, you must send a signed ticket agreement over to Skiddle.  More information about ticket remittance is outlined here.
